Personal Taxes:
 
Not easily avoided, but can be mitigated. Full use of all available relief's and allowances should be maximised. Problems solved and burdens eased. Newsletters of interesting topics to be released at regular intervals, to appeal to all clientele.
Business Taxes:
 
Control of all allowable business expenses. Maintenance of business records to comply with current legislation. Ensure maximising claims to Capital allowances by use of timely expenditure. Due dates for payment of taxes and advance notification of liabilities.
Higher Rate Tax:
 
We have unlimited experience with higher rate tax payers, and all related tax planning requirements.
Self-Assessment:
 
Completion of self-assessment returns and calculation of tax liabilities.
Statements of Accounts:
 
The Revenue too easily makes mistakes and as the years go on from the introduction of self-assessment in 1996/97 so the statements become harder to read. We have a computerised system that will check the statements and ensure that all payments are correctly allocated and any interest/supplement payments are correctly calculated.
Capital Gains Tax:
 
Do not waste the annual exemption wherever possible. Advice on retirement relief, taper relief and rollover relief.
General Tax Planning:
 
Advice on Personal Pension relief and the new stakeholders pension scheme. The general principals of Tax free investments: - ISAS's, Gilts, Venture Capital Trusts.
National Insurance Contributions:
 
Income tax by another name. This is an additional burden on the employed and self-employed alike. This office recently merged with the Inland Revenue and has wider powers. There will be more PAYE audits and therefore more compliance to deal with.
